I run the free Sygate Personal Firewall - as recommended on this forum!
It appears to be working fine, however, if I have reason to click Control+Alt+Delete at any time it always shows "SMC not responding".
I have downloaded and reinstalled the latest version and it's the same. Anyone know if this is normal?
Thanks

Thanks a million Browntoa! I should've googled it first, had no idea there was a Sygate forum! Had a heck of a job the other day on their site just trying to find the link for the free download!
Funnily enough I've had a couple of probs with the computer freezing on startup lately, just about where it's loading the firewall...hmmm. As I'd just downloaded the latest version I thought it couldn't be that....but from scanning the forum quickly it looks quite likely as it started at about the same time as I reinstalled. Downloading the older version the forum recommends as I type. Off to reinstall. Let u know if it works.
Thanks again.
