FENSA certificate never arrived and they want £25 to resend!

Hi,
My new doubled-glazed windows were installed earlier this year. I never received my FENSA certificate. My installer said this is common, because they can charge to 'resend' it.
Ive done a search for my address on the FENSA website, and sure enough, it shows the date the certificate was issued, but I never received it!
Im not going to pay £25 for them to send something that they should have already sent! If there was going to be a charge to 'resend' it, they should have made the first certificate require a signature on delivery.
Has anyone else had this issue with FENSA?
Thanks

If it was agreed that a FENSA certificate would be supplied when the job was finished then it's the installers job to chase and if required, pay for the replacement to be issued as this certificate would form part of the contract.2

we had windows replaced and never got the fensa certificate. i thought my husband just lost it, but it would sound that he may never have received it. on their website it does give some details about the registration, so that may be enough proof that it is registered.
fensa should allow people to download their certificates for free like the EPC register for example. there is no reason to charge £25 for sending out paper certificates to make a profit at the customer's expense.0 -
When my installer finished the job, he said that I probably wont get a FENSA certificate becuase theyre known for never sending them!! He said they do it becuase they can then charge you for 'resending' it. I didnt think much of it at the time. But now, here we are, all these months later and I dont have one!! What a con!!
