L&G Global Tech & SMT

Hi all,
Currently have L&G Global Tech Index as a satellite fund. Have been waiting until I get in the + with this as I had the idea of selling half and putting this into SMT (don't want to put additional £ into tech-focused funds). SMT's performance as a tech fund has been a lot better that L&G (due to Tesla I guess), and the two seem to complement each other in terms of their top holdings. Not 100% on Tesla, though (SMT seems to be very heavily exposed to this and if Tesla suddenly takes a downturn...). Wondered what members' thoughts were.
Thanks.

When you invest into funds, investment trusts or companies, you should be buying into the belief of their philosophy, management, size of the company in the market, competition, and market direction. Not historic performance. In these two, ask yourself do you trust the managers to direct your funds where best spent, if yes then buy, if not then sell. Whatever you do, don't look at your performance daily/weekly or monthly. Look to the long term.2

Charts, and recent performance, are about as useful to investors as horoscopes.
