I am going to transfer the ISA to iWEB.
So if you are moving 15 assets across do you want to start your own thread to track that

Not quite sure what you mean?

I have exports of my portfolio saved down in spreadsheets so I will be able to track the in-specie transfers and ensure everything is accounted for.

I am suggesting it might be quite a painful drawn out process reregistering all those assets. I recall that Xylophone did a similar transfer of lots of assets from II to iWeb a few years ago which ended with "never again". At least the AJ Bell transfer team is above average competent.

Oh god. Can @xylophone confirm if it was exchange traded assets or funds that they transferred?

@colsten ‘s recent thread on a successful in-specie transfer to iWEB gives me some comfort, appreciate it was from Halifax to iWEB, but still. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6249244/s-s-isa-transfer-to-iweb#latest

That thread shouldn't give you any comfort as the transfer was from HSD to iWeb which are the same company using the same nominee account so no assets were actually reregistered.

My experience of the dreaded in specie transfer matches that of xylophone (mine was HL to II). Mostly funds (and I consolidated holdings as much as I could prior to kicking off), 15 weeks IIRC. At least the right assets turned up on the other side, unlike some who were transferring between the same providers and at the same time as me.
I wouldn't take too much comfort from colsten's experience transferring between brands under the same provider.

    It was funds.

    Thanks all.

Im going to stick to the plan and request to in-specie all the shares, ETFs and ITs. Since I have no immediate or even medium term need for the funds, if it takes a while then that’s fine by me. At least it’s around the end of the tax year, so I can soon add new ISA contributions to the new iWEB ISA.

Exchange traded securities generally do move a bit more quickly than open ended funds.

    I thought they would, yes.

My previous post was meant to highlight that my ISA is fully invested in exchange traded securities rather than I also have funds but will only be transferring the exchange traded stuff.
