The key is did you buy around 90p, if not, you will need to make informed choice on whether to buy now or wait
However be warned, news on covid vaccine being approved is only a matter of time and we will likely see another jump like we did when it was 100p and then to 140p. Although to how much is crystal ball time.

I too am waiting for the share to drop a bit more but I will likely buy something else which has more value as IAG doesn't have much to go before reaching their potential, stagnate or yo yo for a few years before reaching Pre covid levels

  • Oh no...I bought at 1.73. Not a lot - just part of my 'value funds' around that time (all the others are up/sold CINE at profit). This is the only one that wasn't well-timed (down about 11%), although JDW could have been better. Just wondering whether or not to go in again now, or if this downward trend is something with yet a bit more downward direction in it.

Depending on whether you bought CINE at rock bottom,  I would have held on to them, they have plenty of potential to go up next year with CVA and further cost cutting exercises being done, their cash burn will reduce, however nevertheless more risky than IAG I must admit.

If you are a bit more risk adverse, I would park the money in BP/RDSB/ EZJ

International air travel is some years away from a full recovery. Why IAG out of all the airlines?

Ryanair ‘may’ have been a better investment in my opinion.

Thanks. May go back into CINE (did buy them quite low and made a small profit). Already have BP at quite a good price. Watching ezj and rdsb. Thanks.

Given today's performance I should have bought CINE this am, but this it what happens with trying to time the market.

I will give it until pm tomorrow and then buy and let the short sellers sell their bit and see what price comes out of it

Time is running out with a covid vaccine approval likely this week, so I will likely have to buy it at some time tomorrow.

    Rolls Royce also increased

I think increases were seen across the board with the lockdown ending a bit tomorrow and investors thinking everything will be back to normal. That sentiment will be short lived and I think there will be a short fall tomorrow

With the vaccine now confirmed, the days of value investing is now officially over, get what ever scraps you can get left, I'm out and invested everything today I can spare.

Don't like Iweb's system where you place a 'best' with no limit order before the markets open, they don't buy bang on 0800, it took almost 20 min delay before it bought and the price wasn't the best. Should have done an Ebay and kept refreshing and buy it myself.
