Disney plus

Hi,
I signed up for Disney plus with an annual subscription option. £50 something pound I think it was. I cancelled it after 4 days because there was absolutely nothing on it to watch which I hadn't already. The content was poor compared to Netflix. But I'm still being charged for a years subscription. Does a 7 day cool off period not apply here? I've never been a Disney plus member before now & cancelled within 4 days of purchase. I'm not overly bothered I just don't like the way I can change my mind about a broadband or mobile phone contract or gas and electric but not streaming service it appears.
Thanks all

I don't think it does because you started using the service. As I understand it, a cooling off period ends as soon as you start accessing the service. Otherwise, we'd all be forever signing up for stuff, using the cooling off period then cancelling. Netflix offer a free trial for precisely that purpose - if Disney do not do the same then it's up to customers to do their research before signing up.4

Here are their T&Cs, if you paid via a 3rd party you will be billed till the end of the billing term if direct you have 14 days cooling off period, however if you have accessed the service you void the cooling off period

Section 2C3 -
You used it, you pay for it - no cooling off period if you accessed the service unfortunately.

Well a bit of research before buying might have told you what content was on0

Well Netflix has very little the Disney channel has s the content is not the same, although the content on Disney is low just now as it's a new service.
Binge watch the Mandalorian then try to cancel by any chance?

Okay thanks for the replies. Handy to know for the future 👍0

Do you know anyone who would like to watch it? My daughter pays for it and she has set it up on our telly too for the grandchildren to watch when they visit. Her dad also has it via her membership.1
