Hive View Outdoor Camera 30% Off Deal - be careful to there are some strings attached

I saw a Black Friday offer on the Hive website for 30% off Hive View Outdoor Cameras. We wanted another two and with 30% off the cameras this deal was attractive. What Hive doesn't tell you is that the only way that you can access the 30% discount is if you sign up for either a monthly or yearly video storage contract (£59 per year or £5.99 per month). 24 Hours of video storage is free. When I tried to buy two cameras with just the free 24 hour video storage option selected, the price reverted from the discounted £237.30 to the full price of £339 without any explanation. Thinking that this was due to a glitch in the website I telephoned Hive. The customers services representative also thought that there was a problem and tried to place my order. She got a system message which told her that the discount was only available to customers who purchased either a monthly or yearly video monitoring contract. I was very disappointed with Hive as their website doesn't explain this. I told the rep that Hive were misleading customers by not making this requirement clear and terminated the call. I ended up ordering the two cameras online and agreeing a monthly subscription (cancel anytime) which I will cancel before the second months subscription is due. I therefore still got the majority of the discount.
