That is brilliant Katie.
I do a lot of knitting , trauma teddies and the like. Several years ago I dismembered an old duvet and stored the stuffing in a bin bag. One large bin bag of toy stuffing, all fire retardent etc, absolutely free.
One small bag of stuffing from shop £5!I believe that friends are quiet angels

wonder if it would be worth joining my local freegle/freecycle. I would take the inners out as OH was not well for quite a while and even though they have been cleaned some marks are stubborn. Any thoughts on this idea ?

Just to say that at our tip there is a massive great notice which says it is illegal to take, give, swap any items on the site. Utterly stupid. In the not-so-old days (in a different location) you were able to buy anything that was deemed to be saleable. I still have one large plastic dog bed which cost £1!
I'm not sure about the filling- it all depends if whatever is made needs to comply with the 'Elf man' and have CE markings. Of course that depends if you are selling.. or giving I imagine (not the stuffing- the finished items)
Thanks for your congratulations.
Currently I am fundraising for the assistance charity 'Dogs for Good' who train dogs for disabled children & adults, have dogs for autism & help to train pets for autistic children etc..... I am hoping to reach £2k by the end of the year... maybe!!
Have 6 doggy duvets to deliver to a village PO- they have been selling all year. I am also taking some crochet stars to see if they will sell @50pence. The yarn was free.....
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
