Tado with Homeserve

Hi all,

Recently moved into a house which has a Tado smart thermostat. The vendor said it cost a few quid a month and when I spoke to Homeserve it is actually £7 a month. I agreed as there is no minimum term and I can cancel whenever. 
Is anyone else on this plan? I keep seeing Tado as a monthly subscription as cheaper than this so I wonder if I am getting anything else other than the autoassist etc.
Also I am considering just buying the kit as £7 monthly will soon add up.

Any thoughts?

I would buy. Or beat Homeserve down a lot if possible.
£7 per month £84 per year.
Google the prices. Is it wired / wireless?

I've had no paperwork regarding the system from Homeserve so not sure what the breakdown cost is. I wonder whether if I went direct with Tado it would be £2.99 per month rather than the £7 it is with Homeserve. I will be annoyed if it is the same functionality but as I'm taking over an old account I didn't get any paperwork it is hard to see

It is a wireless system with an internet bridge attached to the router, a pack attached to the boiler and a wireless thermostat on the wall. The app we downloaded on to our phones and actually the system itself we are happy enough with. 

I think I will give them a call to see how much it is to buy the kit we are currently 'renting' and compare that to Hive/Nest functionality as we are also thinking about getting cameras and it would be nice to have one 'ecosystem' so to speak

Check AMAZON now. They have TADO at Cyber Monday prices which will increase tomorrow.

Thanks, I have picked up some TRVs and will probably buy the Tado stuff I am currently renting
