Potential rising damp

I have possibly got rising damp underneath my front bay window. Does anybody know if this can be treated by a normal builder or if I need to get a specialist damp proofing company in.
Thanks in advanced.

Photos would help, but forget rising damp.
Water is coming from somewhere it never used to so it is far more likely to be an issue with the window.
Check it is still sealed properly and water isn't finding its way into the cavity.
Also ensure the external ground is below damp proof course.

Post photos, please.  Inside and out, of the whole bay and the whole front of the house, please.

Let's see if we can work out what the source might be.     What's happening inside?

I'd suggest half an hour searching this forum for "specialist damp proofing company" before touching that dial!
