Zenith debt collection

Options
Hi.  I parking my car during lockdown when parking in the town was free and the machines were covered up but got a parking fine for parking more than an hour! I wrote and told them that this was ridiculous but have sine received a number of letters threatening court action.  I have read on previous threads that these are just threats.   Should I just ignore them?

    Which parking firm? 🥱

What has the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, fourth post, told you about debt collectors?

Are you sure that private car parks in the town were free during lockdown?

You haven't received a fine if Zenith are involved!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

If Zenith are involved this is unlikely   to be a fine.  Have you read the newbies?  Have you complained to your MP and/or the landowner?

Just remember that Zenith and other playtime debt collectors are worthless money scammers.
All they are capable of is sending rubbish letters seeking mugs.
Just part of a travelling circus on the road to nowhere

  • Zenith and DRP are the same outfit. They work on a no collection, no fee basis. If this claim does end up in court the PPC will add on £60.00 for debt collection which they don't even pay out. You may find the image below useful. It was taken from DRP's webpage (now removed)

As fisherjim says you need to name the PPC as some PPC's are more litigious than others.

  • Thank you for all your comments.  Sorry the parking company was Euro Car Parks Ltd.    I received a fine and wrote to them to say I was not paying as the machines were covered and therefore I was unable to pay.  It then doubled and then we got the debt collection letter and the threat of court if I don’t pay £140 in 14 days.

14 days is a debt collector letter , ignore it and file it away for now

30 days notice would be an LBC , come back then

You really, really ... really must understand you have NOT been fined.
In these covid times Euro keep chancing their luck .... it's called desperation.
Stupid Euro though, thinking that Zenith will solve their problem.  THEY WON'T

All Zenith are is a fabrication of a dodgy legal who scams people. MONEY SCAMMERS

You simply ignore Zenith the powerless, they are like a harry potter movie gone very wrong.
Muggles I think is what they are called
