RCI termination - points membership

Has anyone managed to get out of a points membership/contract recently? We have given the 12 months notice and paid the fees for the full year up to 31 Dec 2020. We were supposed to be released from the contract today but they are demanding another years maintenance fees even though we won’t have any points available next year. I’m arguing my case and quoting my T&Cs, purchase agreement etc but they’re not budging. They say termination document (which you have to sign to get out of the contract, they won’t accept anything else) states we will pay all appropriate fees issued during the termination period but they issue the following years invoices 2 months in advance. Fees should be calculated on the points issued for the year, next year we have none so we shouldn’t have fees. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I seek legal advice. Thanks

Many moons ago I was a member of the Timeshare User Group (tug.net) and lots of useful information was available on there. They are USA based but did have a lot of members in the UK and Europe. I don't know what it's like now but may be worth a look.
