Length of time to receive refund

We have already waited 4 months for a refund from Cruise co uk and have had an email saying that we will not get it for a further 2 months , 6 months in total , is this legal ?

Legality doesn't come into it, it's a civil dispute. Is this a package booking? What was the departure date?
By now I would have begun a chargeback or S75 claim, but if over 120 days you are now out of time for the former. How did you pay?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Possibly still working their way through a back log. Staff numbers have most likely been reduced.0

They can't give you what they don't have - and legal action would take a lot longer than 2 months.Backlogs at the court will be massive, it'd be a year plus before your case got before a judge.0
