Length of time to receive refund

We have already waited 4 months for a refund from Cruise co uk and have had an email saying that we will not get it for a further 2 months , 6 months in total , is this legal ?

Legality doesn't come into it, it's a civil dispute. Is this a package booking? What was the departure date?
By now I would have begun a chargeback or S75 claim, but if over 120 days you are now out of time for the former. How did you pay?No free lunch, and no free laptop

Possibly still working their way through a back log. Staff numbers have most likely been reduced.0

They can't give you what they don't have - and legal action would take a lot longer than 2 months.Backlogs at the court will be massive, it'd be a year plus before your case got before a judge.0
