    I wonder how the OP got on clarifying the apparent £4k cashback.
  • Update:  Well I spoke to the salesman yesterday, and I think Mezzotint's summary (2 posts above) is pretty spot on. So the £4,000 cash deposit will be paid into my bank account once the PCP has been agreed.  I've worked out that as a result, if I cancel the PCP within 30 days I should benefit by more than £2,000, which does indeed make it a no-brainer.
