But planned and published well in advance. I understand that they actually had more branches in the UK than HSBC a year or so ago.TSB is not horrendous for service, though. I won't pretend that it's perfect, but what bank is? On the other hand, it's certainly not as bad, in my experience, as some here would have you believe. I've no complaint. As I've said on this forum before, I would much rather take TSB's service than RBS. The latter is my benchmark for awfulness.I've never seen the point in league tables of banks based on customer service ratings from customers. Most people have one bank account with one bank, so how can they know if their bank is better or worse than any other to be able to rate it?

I wonder how much cash is going to flow out of TSB come Wednesday when the interest on their classic current account drops to zero? Can't think given recent events why you would stay with them given the alternatives!0

So for TSB people withdrawing their money won't make an iota of difference to them. In fact their bottom line will improve as they no longer have to pay interest on the balances.0 -

I'm keeping my accounts and using the money to drip feed into regular savers. Once they are drained I can close them and only keep my main everday account. All five have been really useful for a number of years, now they can gently decline before becoming redundant.
