hearing aid insurance..

A standard repair charge for a digital hearing aid should be around £75.00 to £100.00 for a straightforward issue, or £150.00 to £200.00 for something more complex. Depends what the exact nature of the damage is.
Like any electrical equipment, you should add the item(s) to your Home Contents policy to cover against accidental damage.
There are no statutory rights under the Sale of Goods Act in respect of damage to goods, only in respect of defects in the goods themselves.
Most hearing aids have a 2-year manufacturers guarantee, but like any guarantee, it doesn't cover accidental damage, only breakdown. A very few companies have a more limited 1-year guarantee, but these are few and far between now. Specsavers Hearing gives a 4-year guarantee on its hearing aids, and Boots Hearing gives a 5-year guarantee on its top-of-range hearing aids.0
