Can anyone tell me if they have any experience of rubber flat roofs and if you would recommend getting one over a felt and tarred roof, and if you had any problems? Thanks

Our last two garages have been done like that. First one was done around 12 years ago and didn't have any issues up to when we moved out 3 years ago. I've since done our current garage and a shed I built 2 years ago. The main benefit for me is its easier to DIY than felt. And it also makes more sense to my engineer brain that a one piece sheet has got to be better on a roof than trying to tick lots of little bits together!1

I did the shed myself, my nextdoor neighbour did his extension himself. If you want it to look neat I hope you have better DIY skills than my neighbour!Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1

Yes I did them all myself. It isn't difficult and doesn't really require any special tools. The trims hide a lot of unsightly folds etc.toadhall99 said:lg13mza said:Our last two garages have been done like that. Its very simple to do ,I did a massive shed roof with it.The hardest bit was getting the roll of rubber roofing up on to the roof of the shed as it was so heavy. Its never going to leak as its in one piece no joins to flap up or leak. There are many very useful videos on youtube helping you step by step1
