He is with LV and Lyons Davidson are his solicitors.
My father has completed the counselling they suggested and was diagnosed with PTSD following the accident.
On the basis he is receiving ongoing treatment its unlikely that the injuries are in a position for a settlement to be made.

The doctor will be on your solicitors preferred supplier list; as someone who used to defend personal injury claims I would say there is “a type” of doctor that this work appeals to and which solicitors like working with. This has also been born out with friends/family who have been the injured party and taken issue either with the doctor themselves or that their report overstated/fabricated issues.

If you arent happy with the Dr you can speak to the solicitors but they are unlikely to be interested as the fees for a replacement doctor wouldn’t be recoverable from the third party and so would be a lost cost to Lyons unless the service was so bad that they refused to pay the doctors fees (and given the guy is on their preferred supplier list thats fairly unlikely). You could self fund an extra doctor but a) they aint cheap and b) the change of doctor would most likely have to be explained to the TP and the immediate assumption will be that its because you didnt like the Drs conclusion rather than his bedside manor.
