@BigMac79 Your scenario would be exempt under the "Childcare bubble" that you are allowed to form with one other household.Similar to you, we have formed a Childcare bubble with my partner's brother's family so we are allowed to drop off our kids at their's (and vice versa) irrespective of the Tier.Tbh, the rules have a whole load of exemptions, and to put it crudely are impossible to enforce.-----------------------------------------------------------------
What a childcare bubble is
A childcare bubble is where one household links with one other household to provide informal childcare to a child or children aged 13 or under. They can provide the childcare in either or both of the homes from the 2 households. ‘Informal’ childcare means it is unpaid and unregistered.
All adults in both households must agree to this arrangement.
The childcare can be provided where necessary in any location – public or private, indoors or outdoors.

Thanks. My brother also uses my parents for informal childcare. Do the rules prevent us both from using them??0

Yes, the childcare bubble is between two households, so your brother being from a different household wouldn't be part of that.0

So my parents can form a childcare bubble with me and another with my brother?0

My understanding is that a household can only be part of one bubble otherwise you end up with a chain, not an isolated bubble1

The bubble as I understand it should be with one other household only otherwise it leaves it wide open to abuse.0
