UKPC fine and I've admitted I was the driver

Hi All,
So yeah I'm an idiot. This is my first parking ticket.
Here's the story:
I parked outside of the bays on a residents only street. I displayed my parking permit and disability badge. There was no space in any of the bays on my road including either of the disabled bays which had cars parked with no badge displayed, as usual. The road is also littered with cars parked outside of bays as they've put around 20 spaces for about three blocks of apartments with 50 flats each to use. I got a ticket from UKPC, howevernone of the other cars did as I was parked past the signage. Didn't know about the whole "private ticket" thing and the "don't admit you're the driver" rules unfortunately.
However, on the ticket they've used a road that is adjacent, but not where I parked. It has signage with slightly different rules, but still UKPC. I've appealed to POPLA now.
My appeal is that my dad is very unwell (which is true) and was recently discharged from hospital(discharge letter provided) there was no space in the bays including disabled bays(also proof provided) and I had to park near my house as my dad is unwell and may need to be taken to hospital again. I also showed that the road they've used is incorrect. Also, in the pictures they've provided of the signage, it is unclear and at night (which is when the ticket was given) the signage is impossible to read. But I know now that is says (not verbatim) don't park outside bays and don't black road (which I wasn't).
If POPLA rejects the appeal, does UKPC have grounds to take me to court?
I am not financially incapable of paying so I can currently pay the fine, but I don't think it's fair to be fined for parking outside my own house.
All help is appreciated ,
Manh thanks all.

Anyone can take anyone to court for any reason , so yes ukpc can take this to court
They may win , or not win , court is a lottery and nobody can predict the outcome
If you had not admitted to being the driver then as keeper you were not liable , but as driver you are
If the road is private , not council , then ukpc may have a case , even if it's outside your house
Unless you own or lease the parking space outside your house , then you have no legal right to park there , nobody does
For example the road outside my house is council owned , a public road , I have no right to park there2 -

Have you complained to your MP?
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1 -

Thank you all for the help and advice!1 -
When you see the evidence pack from UKPC, make sure you use the 'comments' stage to point out AGAIN that they have no jurusdiction in the road that is mentioned on the PCN and that the car wasn't actually parked in that road.
That will be your only winning point, I suspect. So hammer it home at comments stage (explained in post #3 of the NEWBIES).
Of course you don't pay them but this could have been sooo much easier. At least you are learning by being here, not to appeal without our help in future when you get another one.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I see you have now raised another issue with UKPC.
Can you please tell us how this incident was resolved?1
