Returns abroad
Consumer rights question.
I have bought a rug from an online seller in the UK with a .co.uk website address.
Is it fair that their returns information request I pay to send it to Switzerland or the US in order to return the goods and get a refund?

Is the seller really in the UK?
Having a .co.uk address means nothing.0 -
Which website is it?0

irugsThey’re not a UK company but make a great play on the website out of ‘covering the UK market’ etc etc.0

Doesn't matter, seems reasonably obvious from the website that they're not actually based in the UK, so you can't expect UK consumer rights.smiles1980 said:irugsThey’re not a UK company but make a great play on the website out of ‘covering the UK market’ etc etc."This site is run and owned by Unique USA, Inc.

If they tried to hide their location or their returns policy from customers then it could be classed as unfair but all of this information is freely available on their website should you wish to read it prior to making a purchase.smiles1980 said:Consumer rights question.

There you go then. I'm afraid you'll have to research US consumer rights to see if what they are asking is permitted.smiles1980 said:irugsThey’re not a UK company but make a great play on the website out of ‘covering the UK market’ etc etc.0 -

Possibly by whichever department in whichever applicable country deals with consumer rights.stragglebod said:

That's why I stated that it could be unfair rather that it would be unfair.0 -
