O/S Daily Wednesday 25 November 2020
This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or SLOW internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Morning everyone
Rubes - hope you keeping comfortable x
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x

Just lost a huge post.

Mornoing All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Hope you're continuing to improve Ruby.
Cold out this morning with fog forecast, how I hate fog especially when I have to drive in it.
I collected my parcel from the delivery office, it was plants that were meant to be delivered to a friend down south, I've emailed the company to see what's to happen before I parcel them up and send them on their way. The collection from Morrisons was returned there and then, it took so long for them to arrive in store I bought them before they sold out as I thought they weren't going to arrive at all.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX14 -
MorningThinking of you bella xxHope you're OK RedRuby xxFrost and fog this morning, looks lovely but it's very cold. I'll be wearing multiple layers when I go out, will have to dig out Scamp's coat tooI'll get some work done this morning, if I get into the swing of it I'll plough through it all, if not I'll put half of it aside for monday.I need to browse Pinterest for ideas for Christmas, any creativity I had has abandoned me for good, I thinkBulletproof13

Good morning and thank you for starting the thread nmlc.
Cold and frosty here but it is meant to be sunny soon, I live in hope.
Ruby you are right to keep on top of the pain and if you can manage to get your hair washed, I think it will make a huge difference to how you feel.
Dumpling, that's good news about the change of medication.
Bella, thinking of you and your mum.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back14 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Grr to the lost post. I hope RUBY is feeling a bit better day by day and BELLA has better news today. Such a worry when you can't actually be at the hospital with a loved one. x
I was MIA yesterday. It was one of those days. The highlight (not!) was yet another appointment at the vets with Sparkle to throw some more money their way! Early signs that the allergy is returning and I thought nipping it in the bud was the best option. The lovely vet agreed and gave her another injection. It's about 6/7 weeks since her last one so it looks as though this will be the regular pattern.
Back to same old same old today and cleaning the kitchen and bathroom is on the agenda. I could really do with defrosting and tidying the big upright freezer at some point too. Lots of Xmas goodies and snacky bits on my Tesco order on Monday so need to sort out room for them. We await with bated breath news of which tier we will be in after lockdown but I think Tier 3 is the most likely option. In which case we may as well just stay in lockdown. One day all this will pass.
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Thinking especially of RUBY and BELLA. Take care all xx

Good morning everyone
Brrrr, it's chilly here this morning, I think I will get dressed today as I need the layers. It helps that my new pink sparkly jumper arrived yesterday and I am longing to wear it.
Hope you are feeling a bit better today Ruby and you can manage to wash your hair. It will make you feel more human but please be careful not to hurt yourself x
Thinking of you Bella as well, hope the news about your mum was positive x
I was well all day yesterday but in the evening I had more bleeding which persisted for quite a while. It's still early days with these tablets though so I am trying not to worry about it too much. My absolute favourite nurse came to see me (well my leg) yesterday as well and I have a different dressing which stings a bit but she assured me it will heal my leg much quicker.
I believe we are having stew for dinner tonight which is one of my favourite meals and Steve wants to do a freezer inventory as well before we buy stuff in for Christmas so that will keep us busy. Other than that, I don't have anything else planned so more resting up for me.
Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

Morning all.Yesterday had a glorious morning and a rainy afternoon. My unexpected al fresco breakfast snack was a wee joy. In the afternoon I had a lovely zoom session even though my laptop crashed, I had to continue it on my phone. DM again spent some time sitting in the living room watching TV and doing her Times Jumbo crossword.Today I be (firstly) making list and the doing a bit of shopping. Tomorrow afternoon I have my second dental bone graft operation. This time I've stocked up on ice packs! In the morning I'll do the main shopping which will just leave two papers to be bought. If need be DMs friend can do that even though I expect to be fine.RUBY - stay in LaLa land as long as you need too.TA. - poor Sparkle.I must away, happy Thursday to all.12

Brrrr its a bit chilly this morning
Bella sorry to read about your mum hopefully they can sort this out quickly and get her back to you. Keeping everything crossed for you
Rubes your bum had better still be parked on that couch
No real plans today...I should just copy and paste that and repeat everydayI do have to make sure the bins are as full as they can be for tomorrow and of course fill the dishwasher. Theres no meeting up with friends in or out allowed here and like TA I suspect a high tier will be us from Weds but hey ho nothing new there then.
Take care all and hope you get the tier you want x13 -
Morning all.
It's a frosty one here and we are meant to be going walking in a while so always hard to know what to wear as I warm up quickly when out walking and hate being too hot. Must make some sandwiches and a flask of coffee then am taking some of yesterday's h/m ginger crunch biscuits for when we've finished.
Bought some more knitting wool yesterday and am carrying on knitting squares for charity blankets - although I knit them from the bottom point, rather like a diamond. They still end up as squares but are more interesting to knit.
Got some belly pork from the butcher yesterday as well so will have that this evening. DH likes it roasted with hoisin and plum sauce and we have some nice bread left to dip in the sauce.
Happy Thursday eveyone

All tucked up on the sofa under a blanket, I have a hot cup of tea and a glass of juice, OH will make me some breakfast soon although I still have no appetite but Im trying to have small bits and often.
OH washed my hair for me yesterday thanks for the tip Taff thats exactly how we did it, although he did manage to soak my back and bra with water, he then combed it through and blow dried it, it was bliss to feel so clean after. I managed to pull a drain out yesterdaynot out of the body but two valves came apart so had to have the nurse out to chance the bottle, I shall be so glad to get them out tomorrow its such a slog having to take them everywhere with you, a trip to the loo takes ages !!
I did not have a good night I slept till 4 and then woke up sweating but shivering and cold to touch I took a tablet and watched a bit on my tablet and then drifted off again, so I shall have a shower later and then back on the sofa for naps.and that will be it for today.
I Will ask OH to have a good clean / tidy through today as the mess is driving me a bit mad I dont expect a palace while I am ill but do have standards
I got two beautiful bunches of flowers delivered yesterday from work and a cousin, they are lovely and so nice to look at.
Bella I hope you get some good news re your mum today xx
Have good days all xx11 -
