When do solicitors close for Christmas?

I have read that it’s common for the latest completion date to be mid December! I’m not sure what my solicitors are waiting for but they say ‘a few enquiries’ which seems like a lot! We started this process in August.
We have a 6m break clause for January. No idea whether to give notice or not.

I work in a solicitors office and we close half day on Christmas eve reopen January 2nd.
I am sure this can vary though.0 -
Our solicitor has advised their last day for completions will be Friday 18th December.0

I would view that as pretty standard (well, January 4th would be more normal this time around!). Obviously individual members of staff are likely to be extending the break (especially this year if they haven't been using annual leave for "proper" holidays) so don't expect your transaction to still be going at full speed on the 24th.BekahLeaDee said:I work in a solicitors office and we close half day on Christmas eve reopen January 2nd.

Last day for completions in my firm will be Friday 18th December, though there may be some leeway for a couple in the early part of the following week. Office will close midday on 24th December and re-open on Monday 4th January.0
