How to sort Safari bookmark folders?

I have about 2 dozen folders created under Bookmarks in Safari, such as Recipies; Patterns; Banks etc., then within those folders many bookmarks.  I can sort the bookmarks alphabetically within the folders, but cannot find a way of sorting the folders themselves alphabetically.  Can anybody help please?  Using High Sierra 13.1.2 on iMac.  Thank you.

Can you not right-click and Sort?  This is an option on some Windows browsers.

No, I'm not using Windows.  It's an iMac.

Click bookmarks in the menu bar followed by edit bookmarks.  Right click on one of the bookmarks and select 'sort by'.

Scrap that, that looks like it only sorts the contents of the folder.  The only way I have found to sort your bookmark folders is to put them all in another folder, then you can right click the root folder and choose sort which will sort all of the sub-folders.  Crazy I know.

Well, "crazy" works, it does seem daft that one has to resort to a work round but at least I can now find everything.   So thank you for your help!
