Things to Consider when buying Leasehold

My flat is wall mounted electric heaters, but is cheap to run as its very well insulated and as its open plan, cooking in the evening warms up the living area sufficiently mot the time. I pay £55 a month for my electricity and that leaves me in credit in the summer and balances out in the winter.
My hot water is operated by an immersion tank, which I pay to heat at night (economy 7 rates so night is cheap) and that lasts in the day then.1 -
If it's a recently built timber framed construction then brick is still 'cladding'. Your lender may still require an EWS1 form and there may still be costly remedial works to pay for in the pipeline so ask lots of questions about that!grahamgoo said:Thankyou everyone, great responses - MSE Forum comes up trumps as usual.
It is 3 storey brick construction / pitched roof so no cladding to worry about. The heating is wall mounted units, but not storage heaters. Appreciate this may be more expensive to run but with the benefit of not having a boiler to break. I’m not sure how the hot water works yet - presumably some kind of immersion heater, is that how yours works amandacat?I think the lack of private garden will suit my brother (will be just him living there) as it’s less for him to worry about looking after!
