Hello all, it's damp and grey outside againAs Mr Fix It is playing tidying in his shed today I am going to give the living room a once over. I have put the DW on and I shall empty it later. Then this afternoon I shall get the last xmas card finished, I'm nearly there !! I'll leave the tidying away of the craft stuff ( most of it now lives in a cupboard blocked by a fold up bed which has to get moved first...... who's bright idea was that ? ) and the cleaning of the spare bedroom till tomorrow, that will keep me out of mischief for quite a while
I also have a bit more online present ordering to do.
Tea tonight will be home made battered sweet and sour chicken and egg fried rice.RedRuby gentle hugsDumpling glad you're feeling a little better.Camelot I thought it was a toss up between 2, the other one was not in the same league.NMLC I hope you get positive news today.Wicked Lady hope DH's dental appointments go well.Tru someone else with my mindset, I very often change my mind half way through and start another !!Take care all, stay safe and keep well. Hugs to all.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
Morning all.
Late start. Woeful night. So far this morning I have lost my glasses, the instruction booklet for getting my look-like-a-real fire electric thingy to work and my extensive shopping list. Have scoured all corners and looked in obvious and unlikely places. I had my glasses an hour ago, the booklet has been sitting on the shelf by the fire place for the year since the fire was installed and the shopping list lives on the kitchen counter and only moves once a fortnight when I go shopping.
I think I'll fall on my sword.
Or
I'll make coffee and regroup. That sounds like a plan.
Ruby, so glad you are gradually returning to life again. Was going to say 'normality' but lost my nerve.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
There is a fine line between cuddling and holding someone down so they can't get away.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Have trouble remembering how to fly.13 -
Morning all.I was out early to dump a load of stuff at the tip lots of recycling mostly. Also DM cleared out about a dozen of her paintings - from the pile of 40 or so - which are now in art heaven. On my way back my lovely breakfast friend sent me a text to say that he was at the cafe for takeaway and did I want to meet for an outdoor coffee? Like a shot! We bought bacon rolls too and sat in my car with all the windows open whilst we ate. Almost bliss, and we will do it again next week. It's some sort of happiness window for now.Good to hear from Ruby again and all the other news too. Christmas preps are shaming me.Monna - if I lose something like that I always ask out loud for the Borrowers to bring it back as I need it - I know it's daft but it seems to mostly work.I hope that everyone has a good and happy Wednesday.11

Afternoon all late one from me
Ruby so glad your home
Nmic fingers crossed re work
Dumpling glad your feeling better on the new meds
Tru I am not a crafty person so i salute your patience
The reason i am late is i am at mums and have been running around as she was taken into hospital at the doctors request as she has lost the ability to walk very quickly within 24hrs and as he isn't sure what's going on she needed a scan so today she should have had an MRI to see if the cancer has spread as the one she has usually spreads to the brain or the tutor could be pressing on a nerve because ot covid i cannot be with her so i hope its not bad news i called earlier and the OT and physio were with her but the staff couldn't tell me if or when the MRI was going to happen anyway the washing is on and i have just stopped for lunch before i wash the kitchen floor anyway enough rambling from me
Have a good afternoon whatever you are up to xSlava Ukraini12 -
