Virgin Atlantic Flights Black Friday Sale.... best ever

We had already booked our return Virgin Upper Class flights for August 2021 in September ( totally cancelable just incase ) . We used our air miles and got a brilliant deal, best ever.....or so we thought.  

Got an email today off one of the travel sites I’d signed up to years ago talking about the Virgin Black Friday sale.  Never one to not chance my arm, I gave them a call.  Best 2 hours on hold I’d ever spent.  Managed to cancel the original booking and re book the identical flights with 50% of the original air miles spent and.... was able to use a companion ticket too.  So the total cost in airmiles was 57,000 instead of the original 230,000 airmiles for some reason it was £67 cheaper so after the cancellation fee of £30 pp we were £7 up!!
