Spoke to Sky today and advised that I had done the right thing because Apple are much quicker and they didn’t have the stock.Looks like I am just waiting now until Apple sort out their issue.0

That's laughable. They "advised" you not to bother them with consumer rights and their obligations and to sort it out yourself. That's great.
