Hi can anyone give me some advice on my current holdings .
Currently holding SMT - Legal and General Tech ( around 5k Each ) within my S&S ISA but looking to add something to diversify it a bit with an additional £15k . Is there another fund / tracker I can add to compliment / off set the " risk " as I know the ones I hold can be quite volatile even if they are doing well at the moment .
Any help would be much appreciated .

I hope you are not 100% in both. Very in at the moment, but risky at the same time. Diversification should really depend on what else you are in. As a starter, a cheap global tracker would be sufficient. VWRP springs to mind and you'll find a lot about it on google.0

Diversify with funds that are polar opposites. Every sector has it's good and bad times.
VWRP would simply correlate your portfolio even more.1 -

All world investments will all have similar weightings, as by nature they will mirror the ftse all world index. If tech is now the driving factor in the ftse all world index, then by definition you can’t get an all world investment that doesn’t have the tech component.
that being said, tech will only be a proportion of the ftse all world index, so say this was 20% tech and 80% non-tech, you’d move from a portfolio of 100% tech (£10k in your existing tech-focused funds) to just over 50% tech in your £25k portfolio, assuming your £15k goes into ftse all world of which £3k/20% is tech. So you’d have £13k in tech overall and will represent some diversification at least.2 -
As above consider diversifying, small caps, asia, EM e.t.c?
Do you have a core global fund? if not consider this first as the two funds you have are risky

They are now approaching the crossover point where its literally cheaper to build a new solar/wind/battery installation than run an existing coal (and even in some cases, gas) power plant. At that point its down to production not demand. As diversification also look at small companies funds.0
