  • I really do think you are making a mountain out of a molehill.

You have also posted your question before being in possession of all the facts - pointless really.
  • It not all that uncommon,  there are 2 incidences that I can recall from my career so far
    1) a member of my team was on holiday,  I needed to see something that she had sent out, which couldn't wait until she returned, so I asked IT department to open up her email account for me.  She did kick up a fuss when I told her on her return, which did make me suspect that there was something she didn't want me to see in her emails, but I couldn't  be bothered to dig that up so I just told her not do anything on there that she didn't want me or IT to see!
    2) an employer looked into my emails to check where I was up to on a project, which didn't bother me as such - but I would have told him had he just asked.  But it was his company, and again I wasn't doing anything there that bothered me that he saw.
  • Just check your sent email folder to see if the email is there, you don't exactly have to be Sherlock Holmes to solve this!

You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to realise you can delete things from there. And then from the deleted folder. If someone truly wanted to be devious then they would make sure to do that.
