Satellite investments: Real estate, smaller & mid-sized cap

Dear all,
Looking to put a small amount into a couple of satellite funds that focus on Real Estate and Mid Cap equity (effectively missing from my core portfolio). Have narrowed things down to the following:
Real estate -
L&G Global Real Estate Div Index I Acc
Mid cap -
AXA Framlington UK Mid Cap Z GBP Acc
ASI UK Mid-Cap Equity I Acc
In respect of mid-cap, I'm working on the assumption that, post-Covid, there will be efforts to stimulate business at all levels in the UK (also looking at Standard Life UK Smaller Companies Trust (SLS)). Have

If you're going for a real estate index fund why not a mid cap index fund like VMID or a global small cap index fund?0

Re global small cap, already have JP Morgan US Small Cap, which has done quite well, so sort of have that covered (but not the UK).
