Personally, I'm worried about a 3 week trip to Scotland (from SW England) in May. NO way would I commit to anything abroad unless it was 100% (or maybe 90%) refundable.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3661

BA don't fly to the US from Manchester. Depending where you want to go have you looked at Virgin?1 -
Depends how happy you are to travel down to London and fly from there, surely? That's not really something any of us can answer for you.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Me personally, no I’m not ready to book yet that far in advance. Still too many unknowns at the moment. Unless you can get insurance with COVID cover with all the various permutations about why you might need to cancel, or for the States that you’re covered for healthcare if you contract COVID while there. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

There are options such as going from Dublin or taking an indirect flight eg Man - LAX - LAS etc.
I too have been looking at USA but there is no way I would book this far away (even if the flights were almost free) because not only do I want to be vaccinated and get some security from that but also what the virus will be like there next year - Trump or Biden you would not put your life on either of them being able to sort it would you?1
