Dishwasher control panel problem...???

Hi everyone,
I'll try and be succinct, we have a Tecnik integrated dishwasher (about 13/14 years old).
A good few months ago it stopped beeping when the cycle had finished.
Now it has stopped altogether, no power at all.
I've checked the fuse, no problems there.
I've had a little google and am thinking it's the control panel gone, which if so leads me to the question, am I better off just replacing it rather than go to the expense of having a new control panel (I'm not bad at fixing things indoors, but had a look at the control panel inside the door and just didn't really want to get involved, so therefore would have to have someone out to fix it).
Or is there something else I should check/look for first rather than assuming it's the control panel?
Many thanks in advance,
Paul.

Depends on the price of a part.  I just searched for Tecnik Dishwasher Control Module, and the first match came up at £109.  Given you can get a brand new dishwasher with a warranty delivered from £190, I doubt you're really looking at value for money on such an old machine, especially if you're paying somebody at least the same again to fit it (with no guarantee it'll start working!).  Its certainly a brand I've never heard of.

It could be made by anyone, it's just a name. I agree though, I wouldn't bother trying to fix it.

Hi ic & Essex Exile, thanks for your replies.
Yep, I was kind of thinking that myself so I'll probably go with a new one.
Re the brand, when I was googling it Bosch were being thrown up a bit, so don't know whether they've anything to do with the company (either back then or now).
Anyway, thanks again and have to research a new dishwasher now

My research told me that the Tecnik brand was used by Moben kitchens. They used the Bosch servicing team but they were not made by Bosch.

Cheers Essex, TBH I wasn't on the scene when the kitchen was done, it's the other 'alfs house. I'll ask her if it was Moben that did her kitchen.
    Thanks again,
    Paul.
