It will depend on the situation after the 2nd. Were you offered a choice of rates? they appear to offer Full Flex rates that can be cancelled up to 24 hours before arrival - although these cost more than the non-refundable rates0

of course the automated site would allow you to book. It can’t tell who would be allowed to go where (most people are having difficulty 😂). Am surprised you didn’t book flexible rates given the situation at moment but you pays your money and takes your chance. Fingers crossed you will be ok to travel but if not, at least You know now you won’t get a refund if you are unable to go and the hotel is open.0

I think, as both the welsh firebreak and the english lockdown will be over, then I'd say a qualified yes to that .
I say qualified as it might depend what tier your area is placed in although I'm sure that it could be classed as a parent using their instincts and an essential journey0 -
What's the plan if your daughter needs to self isolate?0

Unless Wales adopts the tier system and the hotel is in a tier 3 area, you should be ok. Theoretically, if you aren’t allowed to stay in the hotel, she would be. So she could stay in the hotel and you stay in her room. I think a student house would be considered an HMO, ie all individual households sharing facilities, so you staying at hers wouldn’t mean that you are sharing with another household.
in fact, the government has said that students rejoining their families don’t count as a separate household, so it would probably be within the rules for you and her to book into the hotel together in a room as she lives in that area so would be allowed to stay in the hotel.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards.
