Furlough and contracts

If my contract is changed due to a voluntary change of position within the company but I have been with the same company for years would this affect me being furloughed?

Yes and no. You can continue to be furloughed as you have been in continuous employment during the qualifying period, but it also depends on your contract and furlough agreement.1
