Wrong name on utility bill

Hi,
I'm looking to get a mortgage in the next few months so am getting my credit file in order. In doing so I have noticed that I have an old closed Anglian Water account that has my name and gender wrong. My surname is correct, but my my title is wrongly showing as Miss and my first name is showing as a femisinised version of my actual first name. My questions are, will this matter on a mortgage application, and if so how do I get it changed? Will the CRA's remove it from my file as it is incorrect, or do I need to get the utility company to correct it?
Thanks

  • I wouldn't worry about it, as long as the account itself shows as being in good standing. If it's on your credit files, it'll probably just have created an alias.
