AmEx and ESSO Offer (£5 off £30)

I signed up for this offer.
Went to local Esso station (round the corner from Sainsbury’s so only 1p per litre more expensive).
Put £35 of diesel in tank.
Went in to pay only to be told they don’t accept Amex!
Guess I will have to find another Esso station to use the offer, somewhere that does accept Amex.

In my case, Esso is 6p more expensive for petrol, than Tesco. So I will earn around £2.8-2.9 in real cashback, if I deduct extra cost of petrol.
