Can anyone help please.
i was in a violent relationship that ended in 2018 with a restraining order. I had to move out quickly and couldn’t return to the property. I called BG and advised of all this. They said the would send out a final bill and I have my new address, and kept my existing mobile number and email. With everything that went on following this o hadn’t thought about it again, until now when I’m back on my feet and looking to secure a mortgage. I obtained my credit report which shows 2 defaults from BG in October 2018 - currently showing as settled although I have no recollection of paying?

Is there anything I can do, I moved out in February and can provide the restraining order and new tenancy agreement to show and I hadn’t received any letters at all, I of course would have paid had I received them? Plus the default is for October and I moved out in the February. We are trying to move on for such a traumatic experience and I’ve finally got to a new start point only for all this to come back. I hadn’t changed email or telephone and gave new forwarding address details?
