Eon Switch Nightmare

Do let us know how you get on.
I was a customer of Octopus until this year - I did like the way they could produce a bill within minutes of being given meter readings.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -
I totally feel your pain. Switched to Eon in April and absolutely nothing but hassle. They couldn't set up the DD to start so I had to keep paying manually. And the latest is their estimate on my latest bill of my annual usage going up from about £1600 pa to 8000 plus.
Then, there is their website - absolutely shocking. "Eon See" suggests my usage in october was26,927 kWh and I should increase my direct debit to £1,054 per month to compensate.
Then, they tell me the in-house display is a guide and I have to check the meter. They are EXACTLY the same. I say this to the online rep and they respond with "That's right". I point out their contradiction but she/he doesn't get it. Absolutely the worst energy switch experience of my life. I would not recommend to anyone and they should be investigated.1
