Hello,
My dual fuel account from Ebico to British Gas is going at snail space.
Ebico received my meter readings on 11 October from me for last quarter, I have not been able to pay it as no bill generated.
I now have account number for British gas this morning but still can’t pay the bills for last quarter to 11 October 2020.
Do I pay this to British Gas ?
British Gas email says my account is open 23 November , it has no meter readings and it does not allow me to give readings, how do I pay Ebico bill ?
Its taken weeks to get the account details , already regret this move, has anybody moved from Ebico and managed to pay their bill ?
Help appreciated, thank you.

Either wait for BG to bill you, or you can make a payment on account to your new BG account number.
Any debit owing to Ebico will eventually transfer over, you don't need to pay them.
It's not instant: my BG account was set up a month ago, but the credit balance will (I'm told) take another 10 days to show up.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

My experience has been different so far. My account with Ebico was quarterly billing payment on receipt of bill.
I was due a quarterly bill 21st/22nd October, never heard from them but I did enter my readings on Ebico site as my account was still there.
A day later I checked my Ebico account and it had been updated with my readings. Still no bill for payments though and nothing from British Gas either.

Then on 15th November I received my final bill from Ebico which has billing date 22nd July-9th November. Ebico used my previous entered readings and added a few more units on for the extra period as an estimate, the estimate was quite accurate. I have until 28th November to pay my final bill to Ebico.

    Update to my situation.

I payed my final bill to Ebico, checking it online that the payment has gone through I noticed the money I have paid is showing as credit and not the usual £0 after paying a bill.

Phoned Ebico and they said I’m now a British Gas customer so I should be paying them. I asked why did they send me a bill to paid by Nov 28th (I’m quarterly paper bills still) The reply was that the bill had already been sent before British Gas had agreed to take over the final billing amount.

The bill credit I’ve just payed will be transferred to British Gas.
