E: 25/11 Win a luxurious break for two at Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa
Sunday Times Where Was I? competition
The prize:
The winner and a guest will stay for two nights, B&B, at the five-star Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf and Spa, part of the Elite Hotels group. Set in 1,000 acres of Bedfordshire countryside, the hotel is centred around a grand, grade I listed mansion house, at which the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh spent part of their honeymoon.
Several of the public rooms were designed by the 18th-century architect Robert Adam, and the grounds were landscaped by Capability Brown. The estate was reputedly the latter’s second-largest project after Blenheim Palace, and it now includes an 18-hole championship golf course, tennis courts, a 50-acre lake and an opulent spa.
Dinner is served in one of two restaurants — the two-AA rosette Wernher Restaurant and the informal Adam’s Brasserie. One three-course dinner for two (excluding drinks) at the Wernher is included in the prize.
The prize must be taken before May 31, 2021, subject to availability and excluding the period from December 20 to January 3, public holidays and Valentine’s Day weekend.
