Card cloned and used in Australia

  • There is clearly an enormous problem with the way banks treat the security of their customers' cards. We are told they are very security minded - like HMRC is security minded! :rotfl:

Not checking the location of cash withdrawals or useage of cards so that a card can apparently be used in the UK and Australia on the same day without flagging up a problem.

Banks throwing away customers details in bins outside the bank - as reported on BBC's Watchdog

Goods being delivered to addresses which are not the card address.

Even blaming the customer and telling them they must have given someone their pin.

The banks were telling us that chip and pin was so secure that they convinced themselves that they were right. Oh how the criminals must have laughed!
