Yep, as simple as that and likely you can have the two set up as separate payees as well - one problem though is the new way of making sure you are paying the right person now makes it easier to pay the wrong person as you may not be able to call them "ofap's credit card" and "mrs ofap's credit card" but both will be named Virgin.  A positive point of paying by fp is that it is usually cleared into the card account much faster whereas paying by dc through the app can take a few days.

Thanks for the tip, I assume though if I set up 2 separate payees which appears to be best advice even though they would both show 'Virgin money' I would be able to identify them from the different reference (card) numbers, if that is correct I can live with that. I agree about fp being better than paying by debit card, probably more secure too (don't quote me on that though)

This is the first I've heard about this, thanks for the information. I don't want to use Android or iPhone, so I guess I'm stuffed.

Modern phones let you have as many apps open at the same time as you want, if you dont know how to switch between them maybe get a young person to show you ;)
    Sounds like a good plan
Or, you could always use google! In my experience, young persons do not always know everything techy.

I also have a Virgin credit card and use the online service, which I'm going to really miss. I don't want to download the app onto my phone.  But I found this online:

"Virgin is also creating a ‘forms library’ via the app and online where customers can request simple changes such as payment due date or credit limits without needing to call customer services.

Further, it will create a ‘credit card hub’ online with information customers need to manage their account. But for those who prefer to speak to someone, its contact centre remains open and it is planning to launch live chat.

Virgin Money confirmed there are no changes to other products and added that for credit card customers, their options from January include the virtual assistant, live chat, contact centre, help portal and forms without the need to download the app."

    So all is not lost.

    No you're not stuffed.

As per my comment above. "Virgin Money confirmed there are no changes to other products and added that for credit card customers, their options from January include the virtual assistant, live chat, contact centre, help portal and forms without the need to download the app."

Anything is simple as you put it once one knows how to do it so that makes no sense and how would contacting Stepchange answer my query?

Providing the app is set not to close when minimised / moved away from, something that got me at first.
