  • Isn't a PLC a public limited company?

If you do mean a private limited company you will need to find out from the company how your shares can be disposed of.  You will probably have no choice but to sell to an existing shareholder.

Not really a consumer rights issue.  You'd be better off on the "Small biz & charities" board or the "Savings & Investment" board.

More details are needed about the circumstances to advise.

Is this company listed on a stock exchange, or not? PLCs are often listed, but not always.

Transferring the shares to somebody else might be the easiest option.
