  • I was was looking for something to plug into the printer.
Try an ethernet/wifi adapter.  Don't know how reliable these are... but Amazon returns are easy...

I have looked at that but the usb plug is wrong. I need one that plugs into the printer.

As I've already mentioned, if you can't use ethernet over  powerline sockets then the only way to turn a wired only printer into a wireless one is connect it to a wireless print server. They used to be fairly commonplace but with the advent of wifi printers there use is fairly redundant and as a result they are few and far between. It'll probably be quicker and cheaper to ditch your printer for a new one.

Something like this but look at the price, you could get a fairly decent, new printer for that.

I set up a Raspberry Pi as a print server before I got my wireless one.  Cheap and easy to do

Why can't you use powerline/homeplugs, as long you have single phase power , but they will not reach the advertised speeds  if the rooms on a different circuit at the consumer unit (they never do even in the same room i find).
