    Pick two. One "adventurous", maybe one of those you mention. SMT, Alliance, maybe Polar Tech, whatever.
    Then another general investment like HMWO.

    I would say this is spot on, what are you trying to achieve?, high growth, low risk, income, low charges etc,  and then find something that meets you needs.
