Help! Not sure what machine to buy

Options
I'm thinking of picking the cricut maker up—but I can't seem to find a simple yes/no answer as to whether metal dies can also be treated.
I have a range of hobbies, such as quilting, scrap booking, and card making, and I'm not sure if the manufacturer is really worth the extra cash or if I'm more suited to picking up the air when it's on sale. Would love to hear from some owners of Cricut Manufacturers!
In advance, thanks:)

    Have you asked the manufacturer?
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
