If you do go down the battery route, it's worth spending a bit more money (i'm really not getting this money saving lark am I?) on batteries with a higher rating because they last longer between charges. I use AA batteries with a rating of "2800mAh" (like the dealxtreme one), but you can get bargain bucket batteries as low as "1200mAh" that won't last anywhere near as long. I could explain about mAh, but I don't really need to.
Basically - Bigger number = better time in between charges.
The reason I have six rechargeables is so that I always have a spare pair if one of the wii remotes runs out of battery. If they both run out at the same time... well, that's tough
* NiMH is Nickel Metal Hydride, which is basically a better technology than the traditional NiCD rechargeable battery
need some links pls ............ thanksUse your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.I walk with the world & the world walks with me!I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!!0 -

No
The Zapper is a plastic thingamajig that hold the remote and nunchuck to make them into a gun.
You have 4 Official Wii Controllers and numerous add ons. Rough guide prices in brackets generally will be cheaper online than in stores, None are region locked the Wii IS region Locked but any region controller can be used on it.
Controller one is the WiiMote, the main bit of the controller. Motion sensative and connects to the Wii by Bluetooth. (£30, or £35 if you buy the WiiPlay remote and game bundle)
Controller 2 is the nunchuck, that plugs into the Wiimote, and gives you an extra control stick and 2 more fire buttons. Again motion sensative so you can have two different motion sensative devices so you use them indepenadantly (like in the Wii Sports boxing) (£15)
Controller 3 is the Classic Controller, Plugs into the Wiimote and gives you a more traditional joypad, to use. Usually used on downloaded games. (£15)
Controller 4 is the soon to be released balance board, in Wii Fit. Uses bluetooth to taklk to the Wii and weight sensative, has four pressure sensors on it so i can detect body lean / movement. (£70 but is bundled with WiiFit game)
Official Add on's
Gamecube controllers can be pluged in to play gamecube games, nothing yet can use the gamecube controllers on a Wii game (I think this changes with Mario Kart, but not sure) (£5 upwards)
Wii Zapper, Plastic housing that hold the Wiimote and the Zapper to make them into a gun style remote. Whislt a simple bit of plastic it doesn't work with all shooting games as it need to have the trigger as the B button (under the wiimote) and most games use the A button on the top. Comes bundled with Links Crossbow training in the UK, a mini game like Wii Sports so you have something to play with is. (£20)
Non Official Addons.
Lots of plastic moldings to make the Wiimote into a golf club, tennis racket, etc. Usually nothing more than a remote holder.
There are gun type holders and they are OK, some to give a piston type grip others just plain copies of the Zapper. May work on Wii Zapper compatable games but depends how the joystick on the nunchuck is used,0 -
Today I have ordered wii play + remote from zavvi for £30 + free delivery. The website did say dispatch within 24hrs but I have now received email advising that it is on back order. Hopefully it doesn't take too long!
