LASER Printer All in One recommendation

Options
Hi
We are sick of ever clogging up inkjet catridges and decided to go for a small compact Laser Printer All In One (Print/Scan/Copy) for home use.
We are looking for Monochrome  and it needs to be small (not more than usual inkjet printer.
We dont print more than 10-20 pages per week.
Any recommendations?
Thanks

  • Mono laser printers (especially MFP) don't tend to be compact , but of course the paper tray  tends to be under the body so that is a plus point for compactness. Personally I would go for separate scanner and separate printer. My scanner is 12+years  old and I have only had two printers in that time, and that was because a new drum was nearly as expensive as a new printer, but that is my choice. Having looked around recently the likes of printers/scanners apparently more expensive/scarcer due to working at home.
My trusty old scanner is a canon lide 200, and my printer is a Brother 5250 which I got from a friend who worked in a failed business about 8 years ago. All I can say is that both have been very reliable, and have only bought 1 toner cartridge in those 8 years a cheaper compatible one. Sorry recommendation is not possible from me just thoughts.

This is a fairly compact Brother laser printer but the problem you have with a AIO or MFP laser is there never going to be that cheap to purchase in the first place, also as with a lot of printers there in very short supply at the moment so finding one in stock may be an issue. If you normally print 10-20 pages a month then your printer cartridges really shouldn't be drying up, unless you got the printer sitting right next to a radiator or something, what printer is it and have you considered an HP all-in-one with a subscription to their Instant Ink service?

I gave up buying consumer-grade printers 15 years ago, and since then have only had two HP business inkjets. These typically cost £120-150, but have never given me any problems.
