PIP MR success

Just wanted to say thank you to all the posters sharing their expertise about PIP, in answering my own questions and all the other threads - what I've learned here both convinced me to apply in the first place and gave me the conviction and confidence that I did qualify and that I should challenge the original decision.
I am extremely happy to report that someone at DWP is doing their job; she phoned me on Wednesday to ask me a few things, then again today to let me know she's decided to award me PIP and to confirm my bank details!
So thanks again to the posters sharing their expertise, because I'm not sure I'd have had this outcome otherwise

I hope you think the level of award is appropriate. Well done for persevering.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0

This ^^ if you're still not happy with the award, you can accept it and still continue with the Tribunal. Your current award will continue while you wait for the Tribunal hearing.calcotti said:I hope you think the level of award is appropriate.

Can’t get better than that - hopefully the review/end date is sensible too.Spoonie_Turtle said:Thank you both. Yes, enhanced for daily living and mobility so I'm delighted
Do remember too that if you are claiming other benefits this may increase your entitlement.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1 -
Well done.
Still waiting on our tribunal application from July to be heard.Life in the slow lane0 -
Congratulations on a successful MR. Although most decisions are not overturned at MR a sizeable minority (about 15% to 20% if I recall) are overturned at MR. What rates did you get on the original decision?

Thank you. Original decision was zilch (4 points for each component).Robbie64 said:Congratulations on a successful MR. Although most decisions are not overturned at MR a sizeable minority (about 15% to 20% if I recall) are overturned at MR. What rates did you get on the original decision?1 -
Excellent result.
Out of interest, did you provide more evidence / information with the MR.
Or did the assessment ignore your PIP2 form and original evidence (was it a telephone assessment) ?Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
It was a telephone assessment, and the report about what had been said was reasonably accurate but then used stupid reasoning as to why I was supposedly lying about the difficulties (I hold a driving licence and I went to mainstream school! And currently have no specialist input, even though I explained that I'd come to the end of what the specialist service could do for me and the GP can't do anything further. Oh, also the fact I filled in my form myself, even though I had been preparing for it for months before even starting the claim, which I also explained). The decision pretty much regurgitated the report's justification, ignoring some evidence - e.g. choosing 4 points for mobility ignored that I have a blue badge and was awarded LCWRA based on mobilising.Alice_Holt said:Excellent result.

My MR request was based on mainly explaining why the justification was incorrect, plus explicitly explaining what descriptors I thought applied and why. I didn't have any other external evidence.5
